It has been a pleasure working with Kevin Spencer in both London and Istanbul. In London, for Watermans Theatre, Kevin conducted a series of online workshops for children with complex needs. His workshops stood out as the most popular among all offerings. The children and their families experienced noticeable positive changes, fully engaging in the activities and having a great time. As a result, the participants became more social and confident in their environments.
In Türkiye, during the Atta Festival, Kevin facilitated approximately 30 workshops over 10 days in Istanbul and Mersin, engaging with children and young people with complex needs across various age groups. His approach and professionalism were truly inspiring, and the participants absolutely loved his work, leaving with experiences they had never encountered before. Additionally, Kevin delivered a groundbreaking Masterclass for professionals, which left a lasting impact on all attendees.
We greatly value Kevin’s expertise and dedication and look forward to collaborating with him again in the future!

I wanted to thank you for the wonderful show. What a dream come true to bring my child to a live theatre event and not worry about his quirks. Aengus had such a wonderful time and was totally engaged. He talked about magic all night long saying, ‘OOOH Magic.’ This is beautiful because my son is considered non-verbal, speaking only a few words. He did such a great job that I feel that I would bring him to another show. I have such fond memories of going to the theatre growing up and I feel like I can now pass this love to Aengus. Thank you for making many parents dreams come true and feel included!

My wife and I took a day off to enjoy the magic show at the Fox Theatre with our daughter who has autism. The most difficult part for kids with disabilities is to keep them interested in one topic without losing interest. Kudos to Kevin who kept them entertained through the show! Kevin surpassed our expectation for grasping the attention of our kids. Thank you for offering these sensory inclusive performances - they are meaningful to families like ours.
Q.A. and Family
What Are Sensory Inclusive Performances?
A “sensory-inclusive” performance is a theater production that is slightly modified or adapted for individuals with sensory needs. It is one that is designed to welcome ALL patrons – those with and without disabilities – into a supportive, judgement free environment through physical and cultural modifications.
"Sensory inclusive" refers to environments, programs, or services that are designed to accommodate and support individuals with sensory sensitivities, such as those with autism, PTSD, ADHD, or sensory processing disorders. Sensory- inclusive environments take into account that some people may be overwhelmed by loud noises, bright lights, crowded spaces, or other sensory inputs.
In sensory-inclusive settings, adjustments might be made to reduce sensory triggers, such as dimming lights, lowering noise levels, or providing sensory- friendly tools like noise-canceling headphones, fidget toys, or quiet areas. The goal is to create spaces where people with sensory sensitivities can feel comfortable, participate fully, and avoid sensory overload.
Why Are They Important?
Sensory sensitivities include sensory processing disorder (SPD), sensory processing sensitivity (SPS), and environmental sensitivity (ES). People with sensory sensitivities often process stimuli more or less intensely than people without these sensitivities. They can be any age – from babies and young children to seniors – and these sensitivities can emerge over time or be present from a very young age. People with sensory sensitivities may struggle with common stimuli, including:
They may also feel anxious or overwhelmed. In some instances, they may need totake a break from highly stimulating or unfamiliar environments. More information is available by downloading the Sensory Inclusive Practices PDF below.
